The saddle clamp uses a two-bolt system. Both bolts sit on spherical stainless steel washers, allowing them to pivot and self-align with the cradle during adjustment. Saddle tilt can be adjusted across roughly 15 degrees overall by loosening one bolt and tightening the other, making fine micro-angle adjustment easier. This system also allows the use of oval carbon-railed saddles.
Fore and aft saddle position can be adjusted by loosening both bolts equally and sliding the saddle. Because the clamp uses two bolts, it provides a very stable hold and helps eliminate saddle slippage compared with less secure clamp designs.
As with all aluminum seatposts, it is recommended to periodically remove the post from the frame, clean it, apply a generous layer of grease inside the frame’s seat tube and reinstall it. This helps prevent corrosion and seizing, which can make the seatpost very difficult to remove after years of use.
