The Thomson Titanium Seatpost is an evolution of the groundbreaking Elite seatpost designed by founder Ronnie Thomson. Now built in titanium, it is made for riders who want a premium seatpost for a prized bike, high-end custom build or long-term setup.
This post keeps Thomson’s trusted design philosophy of reliability, precision and durability, while upgrading the collection with a titanium post body and Ti hardware. It uses Thomson’s proven alloy clamp system, combining familiar adjustability with the refined feel and long-lasting value of titanium.
Thomson uses the same partners in Taiwan that manufacture its titanium handlebars, continuing the brand’s focus on machining quality, reliability and consistency.
The saddle angle offers infinite tilt adjustment from -5° to +29°, giving riders a wide and precise range for saddle setup. Whether dialing in a daily riding position, commuter fit or more performance-focused posture, the adjustment range allows detailed tuning according to saddle and riding needs.
The super low-profile clamp design helps avoid saddle interference, with the swivel nuts positioned down between the saddle rails for a clean appearance and direct adjustment. The impact-absorbing clamp structure is designed to spread and flex on impact, helping protect the saddle, rails and rider while reducing the chance of bending saddle rails under heavy impact loads.
The standard clamps work best with 7x7mm saddle rails. For oversized rails up to 7x10mm, Thomson offers an accessory seatpost clamp kit. Carbon saddle rails may be used, but correct torque is critical to avoid damaging the rails.
A very light coat of grease is okay during installation, but anti-seize should not be used as it may lead to slipping. To help prevent the post from sticking in the frame, remove, clean and reinstall the seatpost every 90 days. Do not use regular grease in a carbon fiber frame.
Pair it with a Thomson stem, seatpost collar and titanium handlebar to complete the cockpit collection. If you are looking for a titanium seatpost with classic Thomson design, precise adjustability and long-lasting quality, the Thomson Titanium Seatpost is a refined and durable upgrade.
⚠️ Please note: this product includes the seatpost only. Saddle, seatpost collar and other parts are not included.
⚠️ Please confirm your frame seatpost diameter is 27.2mm and check required insertion depth before purchase.
⚠️ Standard clamps work best with 7x7mm rails. For oversized rails, please confirm if the accessory clamp kit is required.
⚠️ Do not use non-Thomson bolts on your Thomson seatpost.
⚠️ Seatpost installation affects riding safety. Please install with correct torque and professional inspection is recommended.

Installation Notes
- Longer bolts will not allow more saddle tilt. Once the top clamp touches the front ear of the post, no further tilt is available.
- Even at full forward tilt and properly torqued, there is enough bolt engagement with the barrel nut.
- Do not use non-Thomson bolts on your Thomson seatpost.
- Standard clamps work best with 7x7mm rails.
- For oversized rails up to 7x10mm, use the accessory seatpost clamp kit.
- Carbon saddle rails may be used, but correct torque is very important to avoid cracking the rails.
- A setback post may be flipped around for a set-forward position, but the top clamp may need to face the front of the bike for saddle adjustment.
- A very light coat of grease is okay. Do not use anti-seize, as it may lead to slipping.
- To prevent the post from sticking in the frame, remove, clean and reinstall it every 90 days.
- Do not use regular grease in a carbon fiber frame.
