The H Plus Son Hydra Rim is an aluminum rim designed specifically for disc brake road and gravel bikes. It is one of H Plus Son’s modern disc-specific rim options.

The Hydra carries forward the strengths of the classic H Plus Son Archetype（AT25）rim platform, while adding key updates for disc brake bikes, wider modern tires and tubeless-ready wheel builds. Since it is made for disc brake systems, it does not use a brake track, allowing the rim design to focus more on stiffness, tire support and ride comfort.

The 25mm external width and 20.2mm internal width provide stable tire support and improved torsional stiffness. This wider platform is well suited to modern road and gravel tire profiles, helping the tire sit with a fuller shape for better cornering stability and overall control.

The 23mm rim depth balances responsiveness, comfort and road-smoothing performance. Compared with deeper rims, the Hydra is a practical choice for long rides, training, mixed surfaces and builds that prioritize stable ride quality over aggressive aero depth.

Made from G609 aluminum with a welded joint, the Hydra offers a clean finish and reliable structural integrity. It uses an open clincher rim design and can be used with inner tubes. It is also tubeless compatible when paired with the proper tubeless rim tape, valves, sealant and compatible tires.
