The Paul Cross Lever is an inline brake lever designed to be installed on the flat upper section of drop handlebars, allowing riders to control braking from the top position. For city riding, single speed bikes, road bikes and cyclocross setups, it adds braking control to another hand position and improves everyday riding convenience.
The Cross Lever features a longer lever blade for better leverage and more controlled braking feel. It can be operated with up to three fingers, making braking input easier to modulate compared with shorter lever designs.
This lever can be set up for either short-pull or long-pull use by adjusting the pivot position, allowing it to work with different brake systems and cable pull requirements. It is recommended to install both left and right levers together, routing the existing brake cable through the Cross Lever so riders can use both the original drop-bar brake levers and the upper inline levers.
The Cross Lever can also be used as a standalone brake lever by placing the cable head in the outer slot of the lever body. If used as the main brake lever, professional installation is recommended to confirm cable routing, brake pull and compatibility.
This model is designed to mount on the thicker center section of drop handlebars, commonly 31.8mm. The hinged clamp design allows installation without removing bar tape, while the side barrel adjuster makes it easy to fine-tune cable tension and brake feel.
