The Runwell 15M8Bolt is a new style hub bolt developed for hubs that use hex-socket fixing bolts. It was designed to solve common issues such as not being able to apply enough torque, wheel movement under load, or stripping the hex socket when tightening too hard.

The 15M8Bolt uses an M8 thread with a 1.25mm pitch. Its 15mm outer hex shape allows it to be tightened with a Runwell 15mm wrench, just like a traditional track hub nut. Compared with standard 5mm or 6mm hex-socket bolts, the 15mm wrench interface provides more stable torque application and a more confident tightening feel.

The bolt is made from steel and features a crimped washer that spins freely. This design helps tighten the wheel securely while reducing scratches on the frame end contact surface. The product is designed to match frame end widths, with a 9mm contact shoulder diameter for the front version and 10mm for the rear version.

According to Runwell’s research, compatible hubs include Philwood, Mac and Raketa. However, hub screw hole specifications vary by manufacturer, so please check the thread specification of your hub before purchase.
